About Our School
Located a few blocks from Willard Beach in South Portland, Dora L. Small Elementary School is a dynamic and exciting learning environment. In 4th and 5th grades, students study both fresh water and marine habitats, making deep connections to our local land and water use. This is our second year as a Trout School and the 5th graders are so very excited to have a thriving, healthy tank of Brook Trout young.
